Electrical Requirements
Most hot tubs require a dedicated electrical line
*Solana spas
(*the TX and RX spa models plug into most standard outlets).
You will need to have a licensed electrician install an electric line specifically for the hot tub (= nothing else can be used or draw power off this line).

Electrical FAQ's
No, we offer ten spa models in 110 volt. All 110 Volt spas can be converted to 220 Voltage if preferred.
We work with fully licensed and insured electricians and are happy to coordinate all details from start to finish to make your hot tub installation as easy as possible. *Any electrical work needs to be completed by a licensed electrician. We are not able to perform any electrical work for our customers.
Most of our spas are 220 Volt convertible. This allows the heater and jets to run at the same time. Typically, 110 Volt spas outdoors in the winter (in our area) will lose two to three degrees in approximately one hour. While our studies have shown that 220 Volt spas cost more to run monthly, savings are minimal. 220 Volt allows both the heater and jets to run at the same time and heats the water four to six times as quickly as 110 Volt (~24 hours upon initial fill). If you are unsure if you should convert your spa to 220V, you can always convert your spa later.
All 110 Volt spas include a fifteen foot cord (plan on ten feet, as some of this cord is used in the equipment compartment) that you plug in to a dedicated electric line installed by a licensed electrician. Because all installations are unique 220 Volt spas do not come with necessary wires. 220 Volt spas require a licensed electrician to install a dedicated electric line and all wires to spa location and the hot tub directly. |
